PhD Candidate

UC San Diego

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at U.C. San Diego.

My research examines the role that education policies and institutions play in shaping the political development of young people. I use mixed-method research designs to assess the impact of state and local education policies (particularly curriculum and pedagogical reforms) on student political attitude development and participation.

Prior to graduate school, I taught 6th and 7th grade English and history at a public charter school in Los Angeles as a Teach for America Corps Member.
